| *high five* yeah. but i had to take mine to a "friend" to pass the actual visual inspection. he said it would've still passed at another shop because nothing "looks" out of the ordinary (cause you can't see the turbos?). but i guess that depends on the guy at the shop. also note that i have a 96 OBDII and the smog computer has to read the ECU for error codes. the only way around that is to plug the computer to another car's ECU (so you might as well take another vehicle to the smog center and have that pass as a 300ZX). the first time i took it to the shop i had about 10 error codes... many of the error codes were a result of having a 96 TT Automatic ECU when i have a manual (stupid dealer can't order the right parts!) so i got a JWT ECU (had to pay the stupid core charge 'cause they wouldn't take my 96 NA ECU, or my 95 TT ECU, or my 96 TT Automatic ECU or all of them put together, which i offered but wasn't really going to do). he said my car ran super clean.
